Eva Wax – Certified Nurse Midwife
As a Nurse Midwife and Wise Woman Herbalist with over 20 years of experience, I am excited to be offering a new holistic gynecological/well woman practice at the Full Moon Family Wellness and Birth Center. I see each individual as a complex whole person in the context of their own complex and beautiful life. I see myself as a Guide offering you information about the range of therapeutic options, using my skills and training to provide gentle and respectful care.
Over the past 20 years I have worked with far too many women who have had bad experiences with previous providers, I feel strongly that no one should ever feel disrespected, dishonored, ignored or belittled, by any caregiver at anytime. Sexual health and family planning goals are very personal topics. I know that each individual has their own story, perspective, needs, and desires. I don’t believe that there are right or wrong goals or decisions. I strive to listen carefully in order to provide you with clear and accurate information and options, and to support you in making decisions to achieve your goals.
I will be offering appointments on Wednesday’s 10 am to 2 pm and Thursday’s from 2 pm-8 pm. I offer the following services: Well Woman Care exams, including Pap smears and breast exams as needed; appointments to discuss menstrual cycle issues, including menopausal changes; appointments to discuss vaginal health, changes and infection concerns and treatments; sexually transmitted infections testing and treatments; contraception options; prescriptions for birth control pills; fitting diaphragms and cervical caps and placing IUDs.
I am a Certified Nurse Midwife with well over 20 years of women’s health practioner experience. I apprenticed as a Wise Woman Herbalist in 1990, I received my Registered Nurse degree in 1996 and was Certified as a Nurse Midwife (C.N.M.) in 2000. I have worked with women of all ages privately, at The North Shore Birth Center in Massachusetts (1998-2017), and at Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Santa Cruz (2015-2016).
